Newton, Einstein and the notion of absolute time

Abstract

In this work we want to sustain two intimately related thesis. The first one sustains that the theory of the relativity of Einstein doesn't refute Newton's notion of absolute time. The second one sustain that the Newtonian mechanics and the theory of the relativity are not rival theories, but rather each one of them studies different aspects of the physical reality.
