Brief dissertation about the literary origins of metaphysics or, backwards, the metaphysic origins of literature

  • Alvaro Uribe

Abstract

Twenty five centuries of readings and re-readings have not been enough to drain the fecundity of fragments attributed to the presocratic thinkers, neither to certaintly define which was their primitive form. It is proposed that these fragments did not constitute their whole work, but that they were redacted as they are since the beginning and that most of them, despite being philosophical imortant or not, reach the concise perfection of aphorism. The decisive step toward the pure logical ordering of knowledge is given, curious or dialectically, in poetry.
