Hannah Arendt: Public space and reflective judgement
Abstract
This essay analyzes the notion of the public-politic on Hannah Arendt and, basically, the kind of rationality it implies. The principal problem to face is that a continuity line between the initial intuitions and proposals of Arendt about the politic, principally articulated around the ideas of action and public space, and her lasts works which are closer to the kantian reflective judgement, cannot easily be outlined. The central hypothesis is that this mention of judgement ofers bigger possibilities for the comprehension of an open publicity and the type of its reasons. Arendtian notion of publicity in understood more as a form or way of proceeding of our rationality than as the contents that it could have or the places of its exercise.Downloads
