Ethical and teleological constructivism of Good: Rawls and Ricouer on Fairness
Abstract
Appearing in the mid seventies, Ricoeur's interest toward philosophy in English language is due to his conviction that hermeneutical phenomenology does not have the conceptual elements in order to discuss the question of subjectivity in reference only to the tradition of reflexive philosophy. Ricoeur's aim is to discover the possibilities of a theory of justice based on a formal procedure, that is the creation of a fictional situation and the appeal to the original position in order to explain the rise of a given society without the interference of a substantive notion of good.Downloads
