Kantian distinction between the form of intuition and formal intuition
Abstract
In this article I analyze the notions of form of intuition and formal intuition in § 26 of the Critique of Pure Reason. According to Kant, formal intuition contains unity of diverse representations that form of intuition doesn't imply. I want to clarify that formal intuition is a hybrid of categories, space and time, which connects the understanding and the sensibility. On the other hand, Kant refers to the form of intuition as the concepts of space and time that were exposed in the "Transcendental Aesthetic" and also receptivity as a faculty.Downloads
