The inventor of the mind? A critique of the Rortian reading of Descartes
Abstract
This paper is divided into two parts: in (I) I put forward the general guidelines of rortyan lecture of Descartes, focused on his role as the inventor of mind as an inner space; in (II) I try to criticize an aspect of this lecture, by showing the existence of many connections between Descartes and medieval thought.Downloads
