Pragmatism and culture

Abstract

Pragmatism today is one of the most favorable tendencies in a liberal and democratic society because it promotes the existence of its beliefs, hopes and wishes through the means of metaphor, self-creation and a true judgement derived from discussion, communication and democratic institutions. Nevertheless, overcoming the limitations of traditional metaphysics is not so easy.
