Confronting nature: ecology, ethics & decision making
Abstract
In a world we have transformed almost entirely, the conservation of the natural habitat is getting more important each day. Environmental policies must be based both on suitable perceptions about Nature's functional way and on a set of moral principles that award some obligation to our relations with the environment. In order to make decisions, this article proposes a complete focus that relates society and economy with the conservation of natural systems, and allows the fulfilment of social goals maintaining the evolutionary capability of natural ecosystems.Downloads
