A backwards prophet. Faith and history
Faith and history
Abstract
In this paper I aim to display an idea of historicity not founded in the reason and which, in fact, criticize the notion of a historic rationality. To that end I appeal to the philosophy of Kierkegaard, who meditates the history in connection with the faith, instead of doing it by means of an ideal principle. The senses of possibility and paradox sketched in those historicist meditations allow me not only to comprehend the spirit of the contemporary times, which philosophical tendencies are fueled by Kierkegaard or, at least, share his interests, but also to glimpse another kind of treatment with the past by doing our reflections on the tradition. Since his contributions entail a critic to the metaphysics, their reach will be opened, as I will show, giving another sense to the beyond of the meta-physics.Downloads
